Anyway we went sightseeing. naturally we missed most of the shops and headed mostly for the outdoor spaces. Wandering around the train station with no change for the train ticket the security officer gave us a free ticket to town. Imagine that in SA! Saw an Egyptian exhibition at the museum (on loan from the Louve) then went up to the King's Park, the main park in town. Weather is four seasons in one day. By the time the rain coat is out the jacket the rain has stopped.
The gardens are magnificent is an understatement. We had to come back more than once to fully appreciate it. The first day was all weathers in a day, but made for great photography.
